hey reddit… uhm so i wanted to try out miso soup and i had this asian grocery store next to me but it's very small and has limited things i bought this and i made what i wouldn't consider miso soup.. i didn't use the dashi powder or tofu the grocery stores prices are insane so the tofu was soooo expensive i could've gotten seaweed but they only had flavoured seaweed in stock so i just ended up making the miso soup alone with this paste, salt and some msg but i didn't like the taste at all is this because of the brand or because i didn't add the other ingredients? if it's because of the ingredients i'll try getting some but if it's just it's primary flavour i don't think i will plz help..
