Tiger Mask def Daiki Nagai — (5:43, Tiger Suplex Hold)
-
TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) def Katsuya Murashima, Shoma Kato — (8:31, running low kick [Shane-ing Wizard])
-
Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) def Natural Classics (Stevie Filip & Tome Filip) — (9:11, Shoto)
-
BC jump the faces to start the match. [Get your bets in on if I get to copy/paste this line later in the night.]
-
Bishamon are super over here in Kumamoto.
-
DOUKI, TAKA Michinoku & Taichi def Jakob Austin Young, Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan — (8:44, Italian Stretch No.32/DOUKI Chokey)
-
TAKA decides to start for the Guys, turns around to come face to face with Jeff Cobb.
-
Simultaneous submissions at the end include Taichi on O-Khan, who he pinned during the League. Post-match, Taichi indicates he wants a shot at the KOPW title.
-
BUSHI, Yota Tsuji & Shingo Takagi def Gedo, Chase Owens & KENTA — (10:29, Curb Stomp)
-
BC jump the faces to start the match. [Technically I can probably use this line two more times tonight.]
-
Post-match, Chase Owens invades English commentary to remind us he pinned current NEVER Champ Shingo Takagi in their League match.
-
Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, Ren Narita, EVIL (w/Dick Togo) def Jado, Tomoaki Honma, Bolton Oleg, Toru Yano, Hiroshi Tanahashi — (10:28, DQ [Tana kicking too much ass])
-
The faces run down to meet the heels on the entrance ramp and start a brawl. [2 for 3 so far.]
-
Tana is beating the fucking hell out of EVIL, so incensed that he puts his hands on the ref that tries to stop him. That leads to EVIL getting the upper hand and a mic, once again trying to get Tana to retire early.
-
After a series of tags on both sides, Tana ends up back in with EVIL; and again pushes the ref away, which again turns the tides in favor of the House.
-
Tana overcomes a 6-on-1 beatdown and hits every Torturer with a chair. But the ref wakes up Tana doesn’t even seem to notice him, too absorbed with revenge on EVIL.
-
The match is called a DQ. Tana continues absolutely whaling on EVIL with encouragement from his teammates.
-
Eventually EVIL gets free and bails out of the ring. Tana gets a mic and says if HoT want him to retire early that badly, he’ll give them the chance. At WK19 Tana vs EVIL will be a Lumberjack Match with Tana’s career on the line.
-
Kosei Fujita, Ryohei Oiwa, Zack Sabre Jr. def Funky Sauce (Ryusuke Taguchi & Alex Zayne), Shota Umino — (13:39, The Grip)
-
Shota and Zack in first. They do a crowd support check, it seems to be about 50/50. [If you haven’t been watching the shows, I would strongly recommend the Shota/Honma vs TMDK, vs Bishamon, and vs LIJ matches; because Shota is finally finding his groove.]
-
Post-match, Shota and Zack have words. Zack talks trash about the two kid-fan-made belts Shota’s been carrying.
-
WTL Finals Match: Hiromu Takahashi (biblically accurate version) & Tetsuya Naito (full suit w/t shirt accessory version) (B Block Winners) def SANADA & Gabe Kidd (Mad Dr. version) (A Block Winners) — (27:12, Nameless Hiromu Roll)
-
Clean start with Gabe and Hiromu. Trademark Gabe Kidd match extended outside brawl happens later, during which he powerbombs Naito through a table and there are multiple count out teases.
-
[Honestly I wrote out a play-by-play of more of the big moments, but you should really just go watch the match.]
-
Post-match Naito promo. He challenges Hiromu to a singles match at WK19.
-
Hiromu, of course, accepts.
