Is this Kombu gold, or potentially poison.

I'm new (in the past few months) to making my own dashi for miso. I was getting low on Kombu so I grabbed this stuff. It was all they had and I didn't look too closely at it. As well, I tossed the packaging when I opened it not thinking about anything really. It looks like it's uncut strips of kelp. Is this going to make the best dash everi, or would you all toss it?
