Soba sauce!

Would just like to ask if this is a good sauce for soba? First time making one at home

  1. I’m going to be the person in the comments that doesn’t answer the question. I’ve not had any of the premade tsuyu, but mentsuyu is really easy to make yourself! You just let the ingredients simmer for a bit and it’s done. You can use instant dashi too so no need to buy konbu or katsuobushi if it feels intimidating

  2. I’ve never tried this one myself, but I’m sure it would be fine. It’s often diluted with water — you might want to experiment a bit.

  3. Usually they are diluted with water, check the back and it will probably have some ratios for the dishes made with mentsuyu.

    Also don’t be afraid to add a little bit more as you eat, the water from the soba dilutes it.
