Looks pretty good honestly, kinda like a jelly roll but with a surprise center. I never heard of this name either but now I kinda want to try it even if it looks a bit odd at first glance
The wrapping paper says that ‘tart/torta’ is a Western pastry brought to Nagasaki by the Portuguese, and that the governor of Matsuyama tasted it there and brought it back home.
