Karê Rice With minced meat

I love japanese Karê / Dry Kaê since I was a kid. My favorite food after Brazilian churrasco e Feijoada!

  1. It’s called Kiima Curry (キーマカレー) when using a ground meat. That’s because the Indian word for minced meat is keema. Dry curry would be any curry (even a kiima curry) that doesn’t have a saucy roux, just curry seasoned, stir fried veg & meat.

Just an interesting anecdote/factoid to your dish. It looks very tasty.

  2. Looks tasty and well plated, is it pork? Highly recommend you get some japanese short grain rice, it’s much better than basmati or whatever that is for japanese curries. My favourite rice to have with curry is hokkaido nanatsuboshi, it absorbs the sauce really nicely without losing it’s shape or texture, it’s also really delicious on it’s own.
