Expired?

I bought these in Japan Feb 2026, but forgot about them in my cupboard. Are they truly expired and if I eat them. (May 10, 2026) What's the worst that would happen?

  2. if it’s still perfectly sealed it should be fine (assuming nose and eyes and observational skills working)

    should probably look up how to prepare those…i think it says beans in the translation? to be extra safe

  3. It’s a good sign there’s no gas buildup or puffing of the vacuum package. It’s probably fine.

    FYI they also sell that product in cans cooked in the same way. It lasts a long time in the cans. And it’s super easy to make a small pot of them if you enjoy it. We make 1/2 cup at a time.

  4. Worst case scenario? You die and your corpse becomes the catalyst for a worldwide zombie apocalypse.

    Likely scenario? You’ll be fine. It’s just a few days.
