Japanese most famous craft cola from Harajuku[OC]

Iyoshi Cola Shibuya Jingumae

Iyoshi Cola is the original craft cola manufacturer.

Its spicy, healthy and mild flavour, created using a unique method derived from traditional Chinese medicine, overturns the conventional idea of cola.

It can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, such as mixing it with milk or tea, and even people who don't normally drink carbonated drinks can enjoy it.

  1. Awesome. This is where Japan beats the rest of the world in food and beverage. Little pockets of unique iterations!

  2. Serving it in a plastic bag completely ruins the aesthetic for me. Bottles or cans. A glass if consumed on premise.

  3. I loved the taste but you really don’t get much cola. I sucked that thing in like 4 sips.

  4. I loved it so much on my first trip that I bought it in bulk at Japanese grocery stores until they stopped importing it. Went back to Japan and bought 8 bottles of syrup concentrate lmao! IYOSHI COLAAA 4EVA

  5. I’m not a super fan of the stuff, but does it taste different “fresher” compared to the canned stuff?

certain spices can lose their pungency over time faster than others leaving an imbalance of flavors.

personally, I think it tastes like a sweetened curry, as most of the spices are similar.

  6. My local liquor store always has these in stock.

I don’t drink alcohol but I still visit the store for these.

  7. They have a much less crowded shop in Asakusa (very close to the megadonki).

For the Europeans the flavour reminds me of a Cola flavoured calippo.

    It’s awesome!

  8. Remember when they were only a tiny truck ay the Aoyama Saturday markets many years ago. Glad to see how well they’ve done.

  9. I’ve had this stuff and it’s rank. Both overly herbal but also impossibly sweet and very sticky feeling to drink.
