Pork tongue skewers are made by cutting pork tongue into bite-sized pieces, threading them onto skewers, and grilling them over charcoal or on a grill. They’re a classic “yakiton” (grilled pork skewer) item commonly found at Japanese izakaya.

Why did you use an AI to generate the title?
Is this a regional thing? I’ve been to a lot of Izakayas and Yakitori places and I have never seen pork tongue.
I fondly remember the Gyu tongue in Sendai was amazing.
Are you telling me a food called “pork tongue skewer” is made from pork tongues placed on a skewer?! I would have never guessed!

Is it similar to beef tongue? Or different?
This feels like an anime sub where the narator over-explains mundane things in their epic voice 😂
If this is anything like Lengua (beef tongue) I bet it’s delicious. This is definitely going on my checklist of what to try.
Kashira (pork cheek) is also delicious
